الأمم المتحدة: ندعو إلى حماية السفن وطواقمها في الممرات البحرية الدولية

دعا مساعد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى ضرورة حماية السفن التجارية وطواقمها البحرية في الممرات البحرية الدولية، مشدداً على أن هذه الممرات تمثل شريان الحياة للاقتصاد العالمي وسلاسل الإمداد.

تأتي هذه الدعوة في ظل تصاعد التوترات الأمنية الأخيرة في الممرات المائية الإستراتيجية، ولا سيما في مضيق هرمز وباب المندب، وما تلاها من هجمات هددت سلامة الملاحة.
